Dr. Jennifer Goudey is a staff member of CSAL. She is a Clinical Research Project Coordinator for two research projects with the Learning Disabilities Research Program (LDRP) at The Hospital for Sick Children. She joined the LDRP over 10 years ago, and has been involved in several LDRP research initiatives with both elementary and high school students with learning difficulties. She completed her PhD in School Psychology from the University of Alberta in 2009. Her research interest is in the area of parent involvement and children’s reading development, with a focus on parents helping with their children’s reading at home. Research findings have been presented at several SSSR conferences since 2008. She brings to the CSAL project a wealth of knowledge in the fields of children’s and adult mental health and management, and is currently on the board of the Ontario Branch of the International Dyslexia Association. She is expected to contribute to the CSAL Project in the area of coordinating the assessment phases of the CSAL project and in training research staff to provide psycho-educational testing.
